About the Director, James R. Johnston PhD

Dr. Johnston has degrees in Economics and Finance, Psychology and Educational Psychology from state and private universities. With his experiences gathered in the insurance, education and health industries he has been fortunate over the past 50 years to be made aware of and understand the deep fundamentals and interrelationships of Economics, Health and Education.

     As a retired Navy Captain with twenty-seven years in the Regular and Reserve Navy he understands the value of leadership. He has taken distance education courses all over the world from the University of Wisconsin serving in the Navy as well as completing courses and programs from the Naval War College, the National Defense University and the Naval Officer’s Graduate Institute.

     Dr. Johnston had the privilege to be asked to write two courses in Microeconomics for the Naval War College. He knows and understands the value of delivering education and examinations using the distance education format.

      He wrote and taught professional health education courses to nurses and to Certified Financial Planners financial courses at the University of Colorado in Denver and economic courses at Nova University in Florida as an adjunct faculty member.

      Combining education and work experiences has been his pleasure. Dr. Johnston has established and written credentialing courses and examinations for the College for Financial Planning presently owned by Phoenix University and National Institute of Nutritional Education/NINE which has been incorporated into American Health Science University/AHSU and the Institute of American Health and Science LLC/IAHS. He served as the first president and academic dean in all three academic entities.

   He founded various other organizations in support of these institutions and developed and administered the Certified Financial Planner/CFP and the CN® Certified Nutritionist credentialing programs which have tens of thousands of graduates across America and overseas.

Dr. Johnston has authored and been the editor of numerous study guides and academic materials over the years. He is presently completing his bookwith the present title:
